Atrium
If you wish to reserve items from home, you
must have your library card number and a pin number. Please call the
library if you do not have these items, and one will be issued to you.
The
library welcomes classes who would like to visit on field trips. Please,
call ahead so we can prepare an age appropriate program. You can also call
if interested in having someone visit your class to read. The Olla Branch
Library is also available for field trips and schools visits. For further
information contact Mrs. Donna Estis at the Main Library in Jena at 992-7387 and at
the Olla Branch Library you can contact Ms. Kristie Proffer at 495-5570.
A
patron satisfaction survey is currently being conducted. Survey forms can be found at the
circulation desks within the Main Library in Jena and Branch Library in Olla.
LaSalle
Parish Library patrons have the option of ordering Interlibrary Loan items
from the comfort of their own homes. The new system is called PILL (Patron
Initiated Interlibrary Loan). This system allows users to search for items
that the LaSalle Parish Library does not currently hold in the collection. There
is a pamphlet available at the Main Library in Jena and Branch Library in Olla that provides further
information about the system and if you need any assistance with the system
please contact Mrs. Andrea Book and she will provide detailed instructions
pertaining to procedures. For details and information please
contact Mrs. Andrea Book, Acting Director at 992-5675.
Your
library has an ongoing 'Friends of the LaSalle Library' book sale in the annex at the Main Library in Jena. Hardbacks
are $.25 and paperbacks are $.10. Also, you can purchase five
hardbacks for $1.00. Books that are selling include fiction and
nonfiction titles.
